Art has the power to transform.

Art has the power to transform.

I’m 7th Pencil

“My work is about transformation and the resilience it takes to move through life’s biggest challenges. Some of my key passions include Mental Health awareness, Neurodivergent awareness, Women’s rights, Human rights and Animal rights.

The murals embody the strength and optimism that has enabled me to navigate life to this point. I try to create a deep connection with my audience. This keeps me sharing vulnerabilities and realities to help people feel less alone in the world. There is strength in connection and community.”

She has painted in over 10 countries and nationwide in the UK with 15 years experience creating street art and commercial art. She is a member of London based art collectives such as Matchbox and Wom collective.

With a Ba (hons) in Fine Art from Plymouth University she grew up in rural North Devon to a single mum. Nature has an important symbolism as a source of healing, beauty and freedom. Using real people as her references she seeks to represent her experience of growing up as a neurodivergent woman in the 90’s and 00’s. Challenging the facades we use daily and look deeper into the hidden parts of ourselves.

Approach

“My paintings embrace the surreal as aesthetic elements, I look at things through a different lens to challenge traditional notions of perfection, normality and beauty. I advocate for celebrating the uniqueness of every individual, questioning stereotypes, and finding beauty in our differences.”.
